Terms of service
Effective 2026-08-16 · changes are dated on this page
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and no_human ("we", "us") covering the no_human desktop and command-line applications (the "Apps"), this website, and the account, waitlist, download and cloud services we operate (together, the "Services"). By installing an App, creating an account, or using the Services, you agree to them. If you use the Services for an organization, you confirm you may bind it.
2. The Apps run on your machine, on your keys
The Apps execute locally. Work you run through them — repositories, code, prompts, tickets — is processed on your machine and sent only to the AI provider you configure, under your own credentials and subject to that provider's terms. You are responsible for having the right to use the code and accounts you point the Apps at, and for reviewing what the Apps produce before you merge, run, or ship it. no_human proposes; you approve. Output of AI systems can be wrong; approving it is your decision and your responsibility.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Apps for developing software. Open-source components of no_human remain governed by their published licenses, which prevail over this section for those components. You may not resell the Services, misrepresent their origin, or use the no_human name or mark except as our trademark policy allows.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to break the law, to violate another party's rights or agreements (including your employer's), to develop or deploy malicious software, to probe or disrupt our infrastructure, or to circumvent limits, authentication, or safety measures — ours or your AI provider's. We may suspend Services protecting against these uses.
5. Optional usage insights (analytics and interface replays)
The Apps include an off-by-default "usage insights" setting. If — and only for as long as — you enable it, you consent to us collecting: (a) anonymous usage events from a fixed, documented list, tagged with a random installation ID and app version; and (b) recordings of the App's own interface in which your typed input and your content (code, diffs, task text, repository names, file paths, logs) are masked before capture. These recordings are technically limited to the App's own window and cannot capture your desktop or other applications. This data is used to improve the product and for no other purpose, is processed as described in our privacy policy (including by PostHog, Inc. as our processor), and stops when you switch the setting off. The precise event list and masking rules ship in the App's documentation; if we ever expand them, the App will ask again before collecting anything new.
6. Accounts, downloads and email
Account sign-in is operated through AWS Cognito (optionally via Google). You are responsible for activity under your account. Download links are personal and short-lived. Transactional email we send (downloads, waitlist confirmations) always carries a working unsubscribe.
7. Paid plans
Paid tiers are not yet generally available. Before you pay anything, pricing and any additional commercial terms will be presented to you for acceptance; nothing in these terms obliges you to pay.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services are error-free or uninterrupted, or that AI-generated output is correct, secure, or fit for production.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to the Services; and our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate Services for breach of these terms. Sections 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence. We may update these terms; material changes will be dated here and, where required, presented in the App or by email before they apply.
